Open by appt. only until April 10thGroup exhibition of works by advanced photography students from the Out of Site Youth Arts Center. Organized by Maggie Preston.
Group exhibition of works by advanced photography students from the Out of Site Youth Arts Center. Over the last few years a small group of high school students has returned to Out of Site again and again to take their after-school black & white photography classes. Over time these students have worked to refine their technical skills as well as personal vision; exploring documentary, staged and experimental approaches to photography. At The Spare Room Project they have the unique opportunity to self-direct and curate their own exhibition.
Out of Site is a visual and performing arts center with after-school, weekend and summer programs that are free to public high school students in San Francisco. Some come looking for course credit, while others for a place to be themselves: all find artistic training, new mediums for self-expression, and a diverse and supportive community.
Featuring works by: Michaela Creedon, Zahnen Garner, Maxx Gavrich, Jacqueline Gutierrez, Michael Mejia and Zack Yackel.
